| dc.description.abstract | This research is aimed at analyzing students’ ability and difficulty in writing narrative text at SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah. The research has 2 formulation of the problem: Are the students able in writing narrative text at SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah, what are the difficulties of in writing narrative text at SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah. The purpose of this study was to know ability of students in write Narrative text at SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah, to know the difficulties of students in write Narrative text at SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah.. The subject of this research were the 8th grade of SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah. The method of this research was descriptive research. Writing test and questionnaire were used as the instrument of collecting data. the subject of this research were students in SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah. Based on data analysis, the writers conclude that students are in the good category, with a percentage of 78.91%. The second meeting the researcher explain again about questionnaire test, the result of the questionnaire of the students got (53,65%). Some of students had not difficulty in writing narrative text, it can be seen from students responses chose always category with the total 47 (10,21%). Through the result of questionnaire that has been doing from students. It’s found that most of students have difficulty in writing narrative text. It means that students have difficulty in organize their idea. They can’t improve their ability in writing, about wording, grammar, punctuations and spelling. From the results of this research, it shows that the ability of students in writing Narrative texts in SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah is a good category. | en_US |
