dc.description.abstractCode mixing occurs when conversants use both language to the other in the course of a single utterance. The aims of this study aimed to find out the types code mixig which found in Not My Arms Challenge Video in YouTube Channel. The speakers do not necessary need to change the language but they mix the languages and use together in a statement. Nowadays, people communicate not only through face to face meeting but also through a platform called social networking or social media. This study is descriptive qualitative research to analyze the data. Source of the data of this study is Bryan Domani Youtube Channel of “Not My Arms Challenge“ video published on April 20, 2020, The technique of collecting data were downloading to the video and transcribing the words and underlining the types of code mixing. This study employed content analysis which foccused on analyzing the types of code mixing which defined by Suwito’s theory (1985), namely: Insertion of word, insertion of phrase, insertion of hybird, insertion of reduplication, insertion of idiom, insertion of clause. The result after analyzing the video, there were thirty one data in the types of code mixing.the researcher found 30 data, there were 15 insertion of word are 52%, 3 insertion of phrase are 10%, 8 insertion of hybrid are 26%, 1 insertion of reduplication are 3%, 1 insertion of idiom are 3%, 2 insertion of clause are 6%. This study observed the utterance which contains code mixing from Bryan Domani and Megan Domani’s YouTube channel.en_US
