dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine the type of language style and the most dominant type of language function used by Ganjar Pranowo in his 10 video conversations with the community. The source of this research data is taken from Ganjar Pranowo's Youtube Channel. And this research only focuses on the language style used by Ganjar Pranowo. The author uses a qualitative descriptive method to explain the existing phenomena by using the theory proposed by Martin Joos (1976) about Language Style and the theory of Finocchiaro & Brumfit (1983) about the types of language functions. After analyzing the writer found 3 types of language style used by Ganjar Pranowo in the 10 videos, namely Formal Style 6.6%, Consultative Style 24.5%, Casual Style 68%. Based on the percentage the most dominant used or most frequently appeared is the casual language style 68%. And the author found 3 types of language functions used by Ganjar Pranowo in the 10 videos, namely Interpersonal 50%, Directive 18.8%, Referential 31.1% and Personal 5,6 %. Based on the percentage that is most dominantly used or most frequently appears is the Interpersonal language function 50% so that the type of language function used by Ganjar Pranowo in his conversations with the community is to provide information or get information, give attention or care to the community and is more likely to be concerned with other people.en_US
