dc.description.abstractThis research is entitled The Conceptual Metaphor of “Love” in Judika Song Lyrics. The purpose of this study is to determine the types of conceptual metaphors found in song lyrics and to explain the most dominant conceptual metaphors used in Judika's song lyrics. The data of this research are in the form of sentences that contain metaphors. The data source is Judika's album song lyrics. The method used in this research is qualitative research. The theory used in analyzing the types of conceptual metaphors is the theory of conceptual metaphors by Lakoff and Johnson. The types of metaphors are classified into three types; namely structural metaphor, orientation metaphor, and ontological metaphor. The findings show that 41 data of Conceptual metaphors were found in the Judika’s album. Ontological metaphors very dominant with 24 data (58,5%), then structural metaphors with 14 data (34,2%) and orientational metaphors with 3 data (7,3%). The interpretation of the songs in Judika's album is that the songwriter wants to describe the love story experienced by teenagers, and adults at this time. The use of metaphor is done to express the feelings and experiences of the songwriter so that it can be fully felt by the listener.en_US
