dc.description.abstractInflectional is part of bound morpheme which has no function to produce new words in the language, but it only used to indicate the grammatical function of words, such as the use of singular or plural, past tense or not, comparative or possessive and so the like. Moreover using inflectional affixes can cause a significant effect on the quality of writing and message delivery. This study purposed to identify the types of inflectional affixes error that is made by the English Students in Academic Year 2018 at Nommensen HKBP University in writing analytical exposition text. In this study, the writer analyzed types of inflectional affixes error and dominant type of inflectional affixes error analysis on students‟ writing analytical exposition text of the English Students at Nommensen HKBP University in Academic Year 2018 based on theory of Dulay (1982). This study used descriptive qualitative research to analyze the data. The source of data was taken from 25 English students at Nommensen HKBP University in Academic Year 2018. The instrument of collecting data was documentation. The writer found that there were three types of inflectional affixes errors occurred. They were omission 14 cases or 46.67%, addition 12 cases or 40%, and misinformation 4 cases or 13.33% from 30 data, the writer concluded that Omission was the dominant type of inflectional affixes error.en_US
