dc.description.abstractThis study focused on finding out the effect of appying Frontloading Strategy on Students’ vocabulary mastery. The objective of the study is to find out whether or not Frontloading Strategy affect on students achievement in vocabulary. This study was conducted by applying experimental quantitative research. The subject of the study was the first year students of SMAN 1 Pegagan Hilir. The writer took XI-MIA 3 which consists of 20 students as experimental class with used Frontloading Strategy and XI-MIA 2 which consist of 20 students as control group used conventional method. The population of this study was 40 students which consist of six classes. The writer took two clases as random sampling to see the effect of Frontloading Strategy in teaching vocabulary. The data were taken by giving vocabulary test which consists of multiple choice. The test were divided into two tests: pre-test and post-test for both experimental and control group. The mean score of pre-test in experimental class is 51.7 and the post-test is 70. The mean score of pre-test in control group is 50,5 and the post-test 61. it is conducted that the mean score of experimental group is higher than control group. The result that t-calculated > t-table as the level of significance p=0.05 (4,405 > 2.024). The alternative hypothesis(Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis(Ho) is rejected. It is suggested that teachers of English subject to apply Frontloading Strategy as an alternative teaching strategy to help and enrich vocabulary mastery at eleventh grade students of Senior High School.en_US
