dc.description.abstractThis thesis is a study about The Effect of Applying Sequence Picture Technique in Teaching Writing Procedure Text of the Eight Grade students at SMP RK Bintang Samosir Palipi ‘’.The objectives of the study is to know whether using sequence picture technique is effective to affect students ability to write Procedure Text at the eighth grade of SMP RK Bintang Samosir Palipi or not.The study uses experimental quantitative research.The population of this study is the eight grade students of SMP RK Bintang Samosir Palipi which consist of two class it consist of 60 students .The sample of this study is class VII A and VII B one of class consist 30 students. The technique for collecting data by giving test (essay test).Finally the result mean score of the application of sequence picture technique was 3.887.value before using sequence picture technique was 48,6 it was categorized ‘’enough’’while the mean score of the students writing Procedure Text ability after using picture sequence technique was 80,4.the result of t-test was 3.887and t-table was 2021 it means that there is a significant effect of using sequence picture technique on students writing Procedure Text ability at the eighth grade of SMP RK Bintang Samosir Palipi, t-test is higher than t-table, so ho is rejected.en_US
