dc.description.abstractThis study entitled Transitivity System in Indonesian Ministers of Education and Culture’s Speech. The objective of the reaserch were to find out the types of Process, to describe the Transitivity System in the speech of Indonesian Ministers of Education and Culture. This study was conducted by using qualitative method in which the collected data was not created by statistic procedure. The source of the data was every clause of the three Indonesian ministers of Education and Culture’s Speech: Anies Rasyid Baswedan, Muhadjir Effendy and Nadiem Anwaar Makarim. The data were divided based on the speech of each Ministers; speech by Anies Rasyid Baswedan contained 52 data, speech by Muhadjir Effendy contained 43 data and speech by Nadiem Anwar Makarim contained 42 data, analyzed by using some steps, they are sorted into clauses, disaggregated into the types of process, the participants and the circumstances within table, as well as identified and calculated the frequency of the occurence in each speech. The findings of this study were that in Anies Rasyid Baswedan’s speech there found 10 Material Process, 9 Mental Process, 5 Verbal Process, 4 Existential Process, 24 Relational Process; in Muhadjir Effendy’s speech there found 11 Material Process, 7 Mental Process, 5 Verbal Process, 20 Relational Process; in Nadiem Anwar Makarim’s speech there found 18 Material Process, 11 Mental Process, 1 Behavioral Process, 2 Verbal Process, 10 Relational Process.en_US
