dc.description.abstractStigma is a judgment of a person or group of people by giving a bad stamp or view. Stigma resulted in discriminatory actions.Shaluhiyah's research, et al, found that half of the respondents still stigmatized PLWHA. Respondents in this study were 11.3% highly educated. According to Fia Dewi Awliani et al research, there were 41.2% of respondents had a negative attitude towards PLWHA. As many as 51.5% of respondents in this study at had education in college. The study was cross sectional. Affordable population of this study are lecturers who are still actively working at HKBP Nommensen University in Medan. The sample is a part of the population that was present at the time of data collection, which was taken evenly from 10 faculties in HKBP Nommensen University, involving 49 subjects. The results of univariate data analysis found that 85.7% of respondents were married, 87.5% lived together with their families, 87.8% of respondents had good knowledge about HIV / AIDS, and as many as 73.5% did not stigmatize PLWHA. The results of bivariate analysis using fisher exact test, p value is 0.650, which means there is no correlation between the level of knowledge about HIV / AIDS and stigma against PLWHA. The conclusion of the results of the study is that there is no correlation between the level of knowledge about HIV / AIDS and stigma against PLWHA.en_US
