dc.description.abstractThis study seeks to find out the improvement of students writing skill through LKS bahasa inggris for the second year students of SMP Mardi Lestari. The objective of this study was to find out if LKS “Bahasa Inggris” can improve students writing skill at SMP Mardi Lestari Medan. The research design is classroom action research (CAR). Miller (2007 : 5). By applying action research, the writer want to see the improvement of student’s in writing procedure text using silent demonstration method, the research will be apply two cycles. CAR is a combination of two methods, namely quantitative methods and qualitative method the instrument of this study was writing test. Observation sheet and interview. The technique of analyzing the data namely analyzing the quantitative data through writing test. In pre-test the mean of score 54,65, post-test cycle I was 63,14, and post- test cycle II was 78,95, and analyzing the qualitative data through observation sheet. Based on interview given before pre-test it is showed the background of the students difficult in writing test became improved through LKS and observation sheet in cycle. I the students were not serious when learning process, but in the cycle II students were serious, active and enjoyable the learning process.en_US
