dc.description.abstractThe objective of this study is to find out whether intrapersonal intelligence strategy improve the students’ speaking skill at SMA Mardi Lestari Medan. The subject of this research was at SMA Mardi Lestari Medan. There are two kinds of data collected during the study, quantitative and qualitative data. The instrument for collecting the quantitative data is speaking test while questionnaire sheets and observation sheets for qualitative data. Based on qualitative data, the students active and enthusiastic to follow the teaching learning process. The quantitative data found that the students; skill in speaking improved from pre test to post test in cycle I and cycle II. It be seen from the students : mean score and percentage of students who go ≥ 75. The mean of student’s score and percentage of students who got ≥ 75 for pre test is 10,52, and for cycle I is 15,78, and for cycle II is 31,57. From this result can be seen that there was improvement, it means that the students has comprehend with the treatment and started to active in speaking skill. In the third test, the lowers score was 75 and the high score two was 90. It could be said that the last test was good improvement because many students got high score in test III and they could more active and have good motivation in mastering speaking skill than before. The result indicates that there was an the use of intrapersonal intelligence strategy to improvement on the students’ in speaking skill. The using of intrapersonal intelligence strategy helped the students easier in learning speaking skill.en_US
