dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research was to describle the difficulties faced by the second grade students of SMP Swasta Methodist 7 Medan in writing narrative text dealing with content : orientitation, complication, and resolution. The design of this research was descriptive in nature. The total population were 28 students. They were distributes into one classes (class one eight). The writer took 20 students as the sample in this research. The instruments used in this research were documentary sheet, and writing test. The data from evaluation and need analysis were analyzed by using descriptive quantitative data analysis. The students are suggested to pay more attention when the teacher explains about the lesson, and do more practive in writing narrative text.en_US
