dc.description.abstractThe study deals with the study on the effect of Picture Series as Media To Teach Writing Recount Text on 8th Grade Student at SMPN 15 Medan. This research was conducted by using quantitative research. The sample of this research is class XIII-2 and VIII-4 SMPN 15 Medan which consist of 40 students. Each class consist of 20 students, the classes were divided in two groups, namely experimental group and control group. This research was done in four meetings. The instrument used to collect the data was writing test. The pre-test and post-test were. The data were analyzed statically by applying the t-test formula. The result administrated shows that t-observed is higher than t-table value 0.38>1.684 at level significance 0.05 and the degree of freedom d(f) is 38. In other words, the Picture Series significantly affect students’ writing skill in recount text.en_US
