dc.description.abstractThe study is generally attempted to find the effect of Macromedia Flash in Contextual Teaching and Learning in writing Descriptive Text at eighth grade student at SMP N 31 Medan academic 2018/2019. The data was collected from the essay test. To know whether this media effective or not, the writer used pre-experimental study applied in eighth grade student. The study had been done in six meetings that were designed, first meeting was for pre-test, four meetings was for treatment and last meeting was for post-test. As the quantitative research, the writer analyzed the data by using t-test in SPSS. The result showed that there was significant value in pre-test and post-test after taught with Macromedia Flash in Contextual Teaching and Learning. The student’s mean of pre-test score in Experimental was 73.37 and the student’s mean of post-test in Experimental was 87.2 while the student’s mean s of pre-test in control was 69.75 and the student’s mean of post-test in control was 80.89. In other words Macromedia Flash in Contextual Teaching and Learning is effective in teaching writing descriptive text for eighth grade students at SMP N 31 Medan.en_US
