dc.description.abstract | This thesis attempts about an analysis of subject verb agreement errors in writing analytical exposition text at second grade students of SMAN 10 Medan. This thesis was aimed at: (1) finding out the students’ subject verb agreement errors in writing analytical exposition text, (2) finding out source of how the student made errors on subject verb agreement in writing analytical exposition text. This study was conducted by using qualitative research design. The subject of the study was second grade students of SMAN 10 Medan. The class was thirty (30) students. The writer took 5 students’ paper to be analyzed. The object of this thesis was students’ error on the paper. The instrument of this research used writing test. This result showed that (1) there were 22 errors on subject verb agreement namely: omission errors were 14 errors, addition errors were 6 errors, misformation errors were 2 errors, misordering error was 1 error. In a sentence there were two errors namely: in omission and misordering, the writer sum in one error but in classified it was different. (2) The source of errors were interlingual and intralingual transfer that led the students to have incorrect hypothesis about subject verb agreement concepts. | en_US |
