Standardization of timber sizes in Indonesian trading led to the selection of dimensional lumber in timber construction is limited. Construction which receives load I vibration , such as wooden bridge requires a large timber dimensions . To overcome this problem in the planning of timber construction using wood dimensional forms which have compressive strength and tensile strength for a construction maximal fimctioning , then it is necessary to wear forms a trapezoid -shaped block of wood to be able to withstand the pressure from the outside so that the load maximum power of the beam experiencing more than the usual planning on wood construcuon . In this study tested the strength of the wood beams wilh trapezoida cross-section and inverted trapezoidal cross section turns produce that form of inverted trapezoidal crosssection is more power.fa! than the trapezoidal cross-section and more robust than the rectangular cross section. By having the same shape, the same volume, the same span length, the same elasticity, the same pedestal, and of course the same vollage as well with the size of the beam Bl x 82 x H ( JO x 15 x 15) and as perbandigan made form rectangular size Bx H ( 12.5 x 15) with the same span length.en_US
