dc.description.abstractThis study focused on finding out the effect of using Shared Writing Strategy on students’ ability in writing procedure text. This study conducted in experimental design. The population of this research was the eighth grade of students in SMP Negeri 1 Sitiotio. There were forty students of the eighth grade junior high school students as a sample of the research. This study conducted with two randomized groups namely Experimental and Control Group. The experimental group was taught by applying Shared Writing Strategy, while the control group was taught by applying conventional strategy. Shared Writing Strategy was learning strategy which has purpose to made students became more active in language learning by giving material and the student solve by presented. The instrument of collected the data was written procedure text test. The calculation shown that t-observed (4,025) was higher than t-table (2,025). It means that there were a significant effects of applying Shared Writing Strategy in students’ writing procedure text. So, it suggested for the teacher to applied Shared Writing Strategy in teaching writing procedure text.en_US
