dc.description.abstractThis study used the Eleventh Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1 PancurBatu as the population. Thus, the researcher interested to conduct the research entitle The Effect of using List Group Label Strategy toward Reading Comprehension on Narrative textat Eleventh Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1 PancurBatu.Thereare two classes namely XI MIA 4 (35 students) as experimental class and XI MIA 5 (35 students) as a control class by using cluster random sampling. Finally, the researcher found that the significant number was 0.002<0.005,and the implementation of the List Group Label Strategy well done. Besides, it can be proved from mean score of students reading comprehension of post-test at experimental class was 24,1%. While in control class only 9,77%. In conclusion, there is a significance difference of class improvement of reading comprehension between students who were taught by using list group label strategy and who were taught by using conventional way; reading method.en_US
