dc.description.abstractThis study used the Eleventh Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1 Pahae Jae as the population.. This study is about an error analysis of using English Noun Phrase in writing recount text which aims at finding out the types of errors which are performed by the eleventh grade students in SMA Negeri 1 Pahae Jae. There are 3 classes, namely XI IPA 1 (32 students), XI IPA 2 (30 students), and XI IPA 3 (28 students). The total of population was 90 students. The sample was XI IPA 1 which taken randomly and consisted of 32 students. The data of this study were collected through student’s writing of recount text. The data were analyzed by using a qualitative research. The result of this study shows that there are 119 errors found on student’s paper. The result of the data, the writer found that there were 119 errors. The data were classified into 13 errors of addition (10,9 %), 26 errors of omission (21,8%), 42 errors of misformation (35,2%), and the last 38 errors of misordering (31, 9%). The result shows that the four types of errors is found on the student’s paper.en_US
