dc.description.abstractThis thesis is written to achieve some objectives, namely to figure out the types of errors made by the students and find out the dominant errors made by the students in pronouncing English words. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. The research was carried out at Nommensen HKBP University, on June 9th, 2018. The sample of the research is the fourth semester of Nommensen HKBP University. Group B are consisting 10 students. To get data, the writer used a recorder as the instruments. From the computation of the errors there are 97 errors made by the students in pronouncing English song and there were classified into three types. They were error of omission (29 with the percentage 0.30%), error of addition (15 with the percentage 0.15%) and error of misinformation (53 with the percentage 0.55%). From the three types of errors, errors of misinformation were the highest number of errors with the percentage 0.55%.en_US
