dc.description.abstract | This research attemps to know the generic structure and lexicogrammatical features genres on English textbook at Eleventh Grade Senior High School. The objectives of the study are to find out the generic structures and lexicogrammatical features of the text at Eleventh Grade Senior High School. The research design of the study was descriptive qualitative research. The object of this research were the texts from English textbook created by Th. M. Sudarwati and Eudia Grace entitled by Pathway to English for Senior High School Grade General Programme, 2014. The data were collected by analyze the textbook and identify the text based on the generic structure and lexicogrammatical features of the genre belongs to. The final result of this research obtained that there are three types of genre on the English textbook they are Procedure, Report and Analytical Exposition text. There are 10 texts which have the different of generic structure and lexicogrammatical features of the genre. The genres applied on the textbook besed on the generic structure and lexicogrammatical features of the genre belongs to. It was suggested that Erlangga publication shoud add more than ten of texts related to the necessity of the students in the school. Besides that, teachers should know the genres more than three to add their knowlege, eventhough in the textbook only three genre. It was important thing that teachers should know because genre is one of the important material in the school. | en_US |
