    Abstract
    This study aims to determine the relationship between attachment style and parenting self-efficacy among young mothers of the Toba Batak tribe in Medan City. This type of research is a quantitative research using a quasi-experimental design. The criteria used by researchers are: 18-40 years old. Young mother of the Toba Batak tribe in the city of Medan. The number of samples used in this research was determined based on Isaac and Michael's table. The subjects of this research were young mothers from the Toba Batak tribe in the city of Medan. The characteristics of the respondents in this study are: Young Toba Batak mothers aged 18-40 years, domiciled in the city of Medan. The data collection technique in this research uses a Likert scale to measure attachment style and parenting self-efficacy. Data analysis is carried out to understand the data so as to reach conclusions. The collected data will be analyzed statistically using the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique to test the social hypothesis (relationship test) of two variables. Through this conclusion, it can be understood that the strong relationship between attachment style and parenting self-efficacy has important implications in supporting child development and family welfare. This shows the importance of paying attention to and understanding the role of attachment style in shaping parenting self-efficacy in young Toba Batak mothers in Medan City. Toba Batak culture provides a strong foundation for a safe attachment style and increases parenting self-efficacy in young mothers. Cultural values, interpersonal relationships, and existing parenting patterns are all interconnected and shape young mothers' experiences in caring for and educating their children.
