The Effect of Using Wordwall Media Into Students’ Reading Achievement of Eleventh Grade at SMA Swasta Nusantara Tigalingga.
Abstract
This thesis discusses the effect of using wordwall media into students’ reading achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine how the reading achievement of XI social studies students of SMA Swasta Nusantara Tigalingga was affected by the use of wordwall media. This experimental quantitative research used a sample of 38 students from XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2 at SMA Swasta Nusantara Tigalingga. The sample was divided into two classes, namely experimental class and control class. Data collection tools used reading tests, data collection methods used pre-test and post-test, and T-test formula was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. The pre-test value for the experimental class was 44.7 and the post-test value was 76.8, while the pre-test value for the control class was 38.9 and the post-test value was 54.7. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Wordwall media has a significant impact on students' reading achievement at SMA Swasta Nusantara Tigalingga.
