dc.description.abstract | This study aims to investigate whether the implementation of project-based learning (PBL) techniques has a significant impact on the narrative writing abilities of ninth-grade students at SMP Swasta Gajah Mada. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with two groups: an experimental group and a control group, utilizing a pre-test and post-test design. The primary focused of the study is to assess whether students' writing skills improve following the implementation of project-based learning. The study involved a total of 30 students, with 15 students assigned to each group (IX A and IX B) SMP Swasta Gajah Mada. Data collection involved administering a written test to the participants. The findings of this research reveal a positive influence of project- based learning techniques on the narrative writing proficiency of ninth-grade students at SMP Swasta Gajah Mada. This is supported by the observation that the average scores of students in the experimental group have increased after the implementation of project-based learning. Furthermore, the data collected for this study demonstrate a normal distribution. Based on the analysis conducted by using T-test was gotten that Tcount = 3,28 at significant level α = 5%, dk (n-1) = (15-1) = 14, so, Ttable = 1,76. It could be concluded that Tcount > Ttable (3,28>1.76). It meant that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It stated that there was a significant differences between students’ ability before and after aplication the project-based learning teaching technique. | en_US |
