    Transitivity Analysis of Prabowo Subianto's Speech at the 20th Shangri-La Dialogue Conference in Singapore

    Abstract
    This study aims to analyze how the transitivity process is reflected in Prabowo Subianto's speech at the 20th Shangri-La Dialogue Conference in Singapore. The method used was descriptive qualitative research with a focus on Prabowo Subianto's speech at the 20th Shangri-La Dialogue Conference in Singapore. The data were analyzed using Systemic Functional Linguistic Theory. The results showed that there were five types of transitivity processes in the speech, namely material, mental, relational, verbal, and existential processes. The analysis shows that in Prabowo's speech at the 20th Shangri-La Dialogue Conference in Singapore, several clauses can be classified based on the type of transitivity process. The number includes 21 clauses for the material process, 15 clauses for the mental process, 28 clauses for the relational process, 5 clauses for the verbal process, and 5 clauses for the existential process. The total number of clauses analyzed is 74, with the division based on transitivity components such as process, participant, and state. The results showed that relational processes dominated Prabowo's speech with a percentage of 37.83%, emphasizing the relationship between entities such as countries and geopolitical powers. The analysis of participants highlighted the role of actors and objectives in diplomacy with a percentage of 29.37%, while the analysis of circumstances, the extent element was found with a percentage of 25.64% which provided context and depth to the discussion of global issues.
